About the memorial: At the back of the Peace Gardens to the left of the WW1 War Memorial, has been erected a curved wall with a central Marble panel with the inscription We Will Remember Them 1939 to 1945, with on each side 4 panels of Portland Stone inscribed self coloured the names of those who gave their lives To the right of the memorial a brick column with at the top, a sloped marble tablet inscribed with the names of the major benefactors, and at a front a marble tablet with the names of the memorial committee Unveiled by the Duke of Kent Wednesday 13th March 2019.
