About the memorial: The Battle of the Standard was fought in 1138. A three light stained glass window with the figures depicted in each light and inscriptions running across the bottom part of the lights. Three quatrefoil tracery lights at the top. In the left light are depicted Robert the Bruce, his son Adam and William de Cant. In the centre light is William de Albemarle, William Espec (sic), Ralph BN (sic) of Orkney who stands on the carriage on which the Standard was raised and from which the battle got its name. In the right light are Roger de Mowbray, William de Perry and Bred. de Baliol. Behind them are the English troops. The coat of arms of the Earl of Albemarle are depicted at the base of the left light, the coat of arms of Walter Espec are depicted in the base of the centre light and the coat of arms of Roger de Mowbray are depicted at the base of the right light.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.
