About the memorial: The photograph is impossible to read apart from the top two lines but they appear in the IWM Register entry for this memorial so it can be safely identified. There are no individual names. The memorial is on the north wall. To provide and place on the north wall of the Nave of the Parish Church of Grantham a bronze tablet in memory of the officers and men of the Eleventh (Northern) Division who lost their live in the Great War. That the said tablet is to be about three feet two inches by about two feet two inches in size, with an inscription thereon, commencing “Remember in the Lord those of the 11th Northern Division who died gloriously” et cetra. Approved at a meeting of the P.C.C. 10th September 1954. Faculty Book 17, page 235, dated 11-12-1934. A bronze tablet to the memory of men in the 11th Northern Division who died in the war is to be unveiled in Grantham Parish Church, it is announced. The tablet is fixed to the north wall close to the town’s memorial and details each of the regiments and other units comprising the division. Lincolnshire Echo. Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
