About the memorial: The war memorial tablets have this week been erected in the Parish Church and Baptist Chapel. By Mr. C. Warwick of Long Sutton. The tablets are inscribed with the names of the “fallen” from the village. The dedication and unveiling of the church tablet will take place on Sunday evening Feb, 22nd. Boston & Spalding Free Press, Tuesday, 17th February 1920. The war memorials of Sutton St James was in the form of two brass tablets, one in the church, and the other in the chapel. These were put in on February 9th by Mr. Warrick, and the cost of the two was about £58 10s. A memorial in the form of a clock in the church tower will be installed in the near future. Messes Clark & Tingle, of Holbeach, have this matter in hand. Boston & Spalding Free Press, Tuesday, 27th July 1920.
