About the memorial: An inscribed white marble tablet set within a limestone frame, 960 x 600 x 100mm. built by Bowman's of Stamford The tablet is decorated at the top with, in the centre, the crest of Stamford School ( + me spede) and to either side, a roundel containing the surname initial letter of the two former pupils commemorated picked out in gilding. Originally installed in the school hall in 1903, moved in 1930 into the chapel and positioned on the wall above the Second World War memorials when the chapel was re-dedicated. Cleaned in 1930 and again in 1996
