About the memorial: Grey vertical rectangular stone with Gothic top, sides narrow slightly below top before widening again toward bottom. Stands on large undecorated chamfered base stone. Small flower head decoration on headstone sides, immediately above narrowing. Inter twined letters IHS at top centre, lettering in black lead beneath and on forward face of base stone, partially missing. Heavy staining to top of headstone and to base stone.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

Base stone:- ALSO OF BERT DARLOW,/ GRANDSON OF THE ABOVE WHO FELL IN FRANCE/ APRIL 9TH(?) 1918 AGED 19 YEARS.
