About the memorial: A single light stained glass lancet window depicting an airman in flying clothes, standing on the ground looking up at an RAF Halifax bomber, the sky lit by a radiant cross and burning buildings in the background. The inscription is in upright decorative capital lettering, the upper one on two scroll panels and the lower one in a frieze across the foot of the window with an RAF badge superimposed at the left. Two makersâ marks read 'J. G. NICHOLLS (1935)Ltd. SEEL STREET. LIVERPOOL.' and 'W. ENGLISH. Del. 1946.' (c IWM register) Further details on the inscription under the Names tab.
