About the memorial: On wall eastern end of church (opposite door) and to southern (right) side of altar. The bottom shelf is 0.64m wide and 0.09m deep, the 2 'supports' beneath are 0.12m high and 0.05m wide. The centre section is 0.66m high and 0.55m wide. The shelf above is 0.63m wide and 0.07m deep. The top section is 0.55m wide by 0.05m high at the sides rising to 0.15m in the centre. Board with incised inscription in gold-coloured lettering. The board has a neo-classical triangular pediment with cross and circle in gold at centre and flanking pilasters. The RAF crest is mounted between the last two lines of the inscription and is coloured gold, blue and red.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
