About the memorial: Wall mounted horizontal rectangle of dark wood with decorative edging, undecorated slightly smaller polished metal plaque attached. Black inscribed lettering with exception of military decoration, corps and several random initial letters of words which are in red. 75 x 500mm brass plaque mounted on backing of dark wood 95 x 570 x 20mm Erected on the west wall of the nave.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

To The Glory Of God And In Loving Memory Of My Nephew Richard Stanley Worsley, Lieut. Colonel. D.S.O., A.S.C. Who Lost His Life In The Mediterranean On The 4th May, 1917 By The Torpedoing Of The Troopship Transylvania, He Was The Eldest Son Of Major Genl Richard Worsley, And Was Born At Harrington Hall On The 7th Septt 1879. He Had An Opportunity Of Saving Himself But Chose To Remain On The Ship Helping To The Last In Trying To Save The Lives Of Others. To Live In The Hearts Of Those We Love Is Not To Die.
