About the memorial: Inside the church door on the left hand (north) wall of the nave. A three-panel triptych, the centre panel bearing a painted image of a fallen soldier. On the left-hand pannel are listed 45 names of those in the Navy who died in WW1, including the Mercantile Marine, with the ships they were aboard. On the right-hand panel are listed 31 names in the Army who died in WW1, including their regiment/service, and includes one Italian who served in the Italian Army. The names are listed in order of date of death. These names are also replicated on a stained glass window on the opposite wall of the nave, as well as the war memorial in the road outside.
