About the memorial: Gravespace with grey vertical rectangular stone at top. Headstone has oval top with raised shoulder to each side, rose spray motif to each side vertically down stone and black lettering. Stands on chamfered foundation stone. Remainder of gravespace delineated by three square kerb sections with mitred post to each bottom corner. Bottom kerb shows black lettering, gravespace is capped. One panelled vase toward top of space, one round vase with container toward bottom of space.

Husband of Annie Elizabeth Cooney (previously Horne, nee Marshall). Born Wildsworth, enlisted Grimsby and resident Scunthorpe, Lincs. Missing and commemorated Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. Panel 21. Also commemorated Scunthorpe and Wildsworth War Memorials.
