About the memorial: To place a Memorial Tablet on the South wall of the nave in memory of John William Watson who was killed in action in France on sixteenth September Nineteen Eighteen. That the tablet is to be given by the father and mother of the said John William Watson and is to be of brass mounted on oak about seventeen inches by about thirteen inches and to bear the inscription thereon namely: Excerpt from Faculty Book 14, page 109
