About the memorial: The War Memorial which has been built on the green adjacent to Church Street and Chapel Lane rests on a concrete base some 3000 x 2000 x 160mm The side section’s of brick are 1200 x 950, with the centre section of 920 wide by 1700 mm high consisting of a concave stainless steel panel, the whole memorial being slightly concave, Above the central poppy on a black background is inscribed
