About the memorial: Two small RoH WW1 within a wood & glass frame both appear to have the same names. Two framed and glazed rolls of honour, hanging from the same pillar in the village church. One appears to be the original from the period immediately following WW1. It is in a light-coloured wooden frame and has 12 names written in ornamental script to the the right and left of a stylised tree design. There is an ornamental cross at each of the upper corners. The other, above the original, appears to be from a later period: it is in a dark frame and lists 13 names, the 12 on the original plus one extra name (Oliver John Turner), in a simple type face and with no ornamentation. Note: there is a memorial to Oliver John Turner elsewhere in the church - see record 21045 'O J Turner'.
