IN LOVING MEMORY OF HARRY DAY AB, RNVR ONE OF THE FIRST CHORISTERS OF THIS CHURCH, TOOK PART IN OPERATIONS AT ANTWERP, THE BATTLE OF KANTARA IN EGYPT, SERVED THROUGH THE ENTIRE GALLIPOLI CAMPAIGN AND WAS KILLED IN ACTION WITH ENEMY SUBMARINE ON BOARD SS NEWLYN 2ND AUGUST 1917 AGED 20 YEARS. HE FOUGHT AND DIED FOR HIS COUNTRY
