About the memorial: A special service was arranged at the Wesleyan Church on Good Friday afternoon for the purpose of unveiling the brass tablet erected in this sacred edifice in memory of the men of the parish who had paid the supreme sacrifice in the great war. The service, which was largely attended, was conducted by the Rev. A.A. Sneath, a son of Mr. H.A. Sneath, of Thurlby. Boston & Spalding Free Press, Tuesday, 6th April 1920. On the closure of the Wesleyan Church, the above memorial was placed in the Village Hall
