About the memorial: Within the church on the left hand (north) wall of the nave. A framed and glazed memorial to Private Cecil Jack Hipkin, 5th Bn Royal Norfolk Regiment, who died whilst a prisoner of war on the Burma Railway on 30 May, 1943. The memorial comprises a photograph of Cecil Hipkin, one of the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Thailand and another of his grave marker. There is also a biographical account.
