About the memorial: The execution and carrying out of the following works in the Parish church of Norton Disney in accordance with the terms of the will of Frederick William Brown deceased, namely: - Provide and place on the East wall of the South transept of two memorial tablets of Oak, each about 14 inches by about 10 inches in size F/O M. Liniewski was Pilot of 301 (PoAF) Sqn Wellington T2625 GR-B, that had departed Hemswell at 2226 for Ops Hamburg on 09/08/41 It was intercepted at 5200M near Nieuweschans in Raum Lowe (Box Lion) by a Night-Fighter captained by Oblt Ludwig Becker and shot down for his 2nd Abshusse at 0025 The aircraft crashed 12km ENE of Winschoten at 0025.
