About the memorial: Proposed to provide and place a memorial tablet on the west wall of the nave of the parish church of Nocton in memory of those parishioners who have served in the Great War, that the said memorial tablet is to be of Alabaster and marble and about five feet nine inches by about three feet eleven inches and is to bear the following inscription namely: “To the Glory of God and to the honour of these who from this parish served in the Great War 1914 – 1919 (Here follows a list of names)” Faculty Book 13, page 354, 5-11-1919 Memorial under the West Window unveiled and dedicated by the Dean of Lincoln Sunday 27th June 1920.
