About the memorial: Small trapezoid black granite monolith with submarine's badge, showing a dragon or wyvern, and inscription in gold on top and names engraved in gold on the front. Front of stone and part of top are polished smooth.A solid granite cube, polished grey and with one side panel and a triangular top section polished black. The black surfaces have the inscriptions in gold lettering. HMS Vandal badge on top surface. The memorial is set in the centre of a cobbled, circular area. There is a bench against the back face which looks out to sea.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
