About the memorial: To provide and place a memorial tablet on the south wall of the nave of the parish church of Midville. That the said tablet is to be of brass and about twenty eight inches by about fourteen inches with the following inscription thereon namely: Faculty Book 13, Page 665, 12th August 1920

The Great War 1914 - 1918 Those Whom This Brass Tablet Commemorates Were Numbered Among Those Who At The Call Of King And Country All That Was Dear To Them, Endured Hardships, Faced Danger And Finally Pass Out Of The Sight Of Men By The Path Of Duty And Self-Sacrifice Giving Up Their Own Lives That Others Might Live In Freedom. (names Their Glory Shall Not Be Blotted Out And Their Names Liveth To All Generations Ecclesiasticus 44. 13 & 14 R.I.P.
