About the memorial: To provide and install a new Treble Bell to complete the Peal of Six Bells and to carry out maintenance on the existing five bells, with the following inscription of the new bell THANKS BE TO GOD FOR VICTORY 1939 – 1945 Approved at a meeting of the Parochial Church Council held on the 25th November 1946. Seal affixed 3rd February 1947. Seal affixed 3rd February 1947. Faculty Book 20 This treble bell [weight 3 hundredweight, 0 quarters, 24 pounds] was cast in 1947 following the above approval, by John Taylor and Sons. Other bells in the peal date back to 1899, and were cast by the same firm. It was inscribed as above.
