About the memorial: On Sunday afternoon the Rev. Dennis Kemp conducted a service in the Wesleyan Chapel when a very handsome brass plate, subscribed for by the parishioners of Manby, containing the names of those from the village who made the great sacrifice during the war, and also of those who survived, was unveiled. The unveiling ceremony was performed by Admiral G. Hutton in a few choice sentences, The lesson was read by the Rev. . J. Houlden. L&NLA 18TH December, 1920 [Manby] Wesleyan Chapel now closed
