About the memorial: A rustic shelter with roof, seats and the names of over 400 men under glass panels. Dedicated November 1926, and located at the north-west corner of 4 paths, south-west of St Alban's Church. In 1936, the Acton Gazette reported that the shelter was to be relocated, but did not say where to. Details from the 'Acton Gazette', 15-Oct-1926, 12-Nov-1926, 11-Mar-1927 & 31-Jul-1936.
