- First World War (1914-1918)
About the memorial:
The Little Coates war memorial has been moved to a safer home as part of the Telegraph's Community Pride campaign.
It was selected by the paper in partnership with Conoco Philips as a worthy project and has been replanted in the garden of West Marsh Community Centre, on Armstrong Street, Grimsby. In its former home at the corner of Gilbey Road and Harlow Street it had been vandalised with graffiti and desecrated by rubbish.
