About the memorial: To provide and place a memorial shine on the north wall of the nave of the Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene, in memory of the parishioners who lost their lives in the Great War. The said memorial is to be a bronze figure of our Lord on the cross in the centre and underneath the date 1914 – 1918, with the names of those who have fallen on one panel under the words "Roll of Honour" and on the other panel the inscription "Their name liveth for evermore". Except from Faculty Book 14, page A triptych made of teak wood from H.M.S. "Britannia" was unveiled on Sunday 9th January. Lincolnshire Chronicle 15th January 1921
