About the memorial: A beautifully preserved 25 pdr at Dunbar. About 20 years ago there used to be four 25 pdrs further along the cliff in quite a poor condition . They were where the new swimming pool has been built which was on the site of the old cavalry barracks. You can see the barracks main building in the first photo. It is the red sandstone building on the left under the barrel of the 25 pdr. The Scottish War Memorials report says there was an information board about the history of artillery in the town but the IWM register says this was removed by 2011. A photo of it is on the SWMP Link.
