About the memorial: A handsome bronze memorial tablet conspicuously placed on the marble wall in the entrance of the Royal Insurance Offices, Silver St, Lincoln, was unveiled and dedicated, by the Bishop of Lincoln (Dr. W.E. Swayne) on Tuesday afternoon 9th October 1923 On closure of the offices the tablet was erected at the National Memorial Arboretum (Alrewas, Staffordshire)
