HMS AGGRESSIVE / This plaque commemorates the men and women of / the Royal Navy and Allied Navies who served from / 1941 to 1945 in Coastal Forces in HMS Forward II, / later HMS AGGRESSIVE, in Newhaven Harbour, seen / from this position. From there Motor Torpedo Boats, Motor Gunboats and Motor Launches carried out vital / operations against enemy naval forces and protected / British shipping in the Channel. Their skill and courage made an invaluable contribution to the / success of the war at sea and many gave their lives. Unveiled by / Rear Admiral Michael Stacey CB / on 28 November 2009 WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
