About the memorial: This memorial bench is one of a series commissioned by the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon (ABC) Council to commemorate the centenary of the first day of the Battle of the Somme on 01/07/2017. It is of black metal construction and the backrest is a silhouette of four soldiers in various poses crossing barbed wire and a number of crosses. To the right are a number of poppies in red. There is also a small silver coloured plaque.
