Hall was Mid Upper Gunner on 49 Sqn Lancaster ME675 EA-R departed Fiskerton at 2303 on 22/06/44 for Ops Wesseling This is possibly the aircraft that was intercepted at 5500M 12km SW of Eindhoeven, Holland by a Night-Fighter captained by Oblt Fritz Lau (IV/NJG1) and shot down for his 10th Abschusse The aircraft crashed near Lage-Mierde a Dutch village close to the border with Belgium All seven crew were killed
