About the memorial: Two stepped square base which presumably had a cross on top of it at one time. Lance Serjeant Harry Allen was serving with the 16th Bn. Middlesex Regiment when he lost his life. He is commemorated on the CWGC THIEPVAL MEMORIAL Pier and Face 12 D and 13 B.
