About the memorial: A combination of rectangular stone tablet and large stained glass window, Five-light stained glass, east window depicts Christ in majesty surrounded by angels, with a kneeling sailor supported by a Saint and a kneeling soldier supported by St. George. Inscription across base of window. Close by is an associated, wall mounted, landscape orientated, stone tablet supported by two corbel stones. An incised design of a square-terminal-armed cross is at top centre, beneath which is the incised main inscription followed by four columns of names and a further shorter inscription verse. These texts are collectively enclosed by a decorative banded design comprising a chain and line border in relief, interrupted at the top by the start and end of war years.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
