Also of his dear son/Charles Madan RN/Midshipman of HMS Sans Pareil/he fell in the attack of the combined fleets/of England and France/upon the forts of Sevastapol/October 17th 1854/aged 18 years We commit his body to the deeep to be turned/into corruption, looking for the resurrection/of the body,(when the sea shall give up her/dead) and the life of the world to come, through/our Lord Jesus Christ
