About the memorial: Memorial to 2Lt Arthur Vane Boulton, Gloucestershire Regiment. Educated at Marlborough College and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Commissioned on 16 Aug 1916 into the Gloucestershire Regiment. Served with 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Gloucestershire Regiment. Was attached to the 8th Battalion of the Gloucestershire Regiment when he died in Etaples of wounds received at Serre, near Albert, France aged 18 years. He is buried in grave XVII.C.1. of Etaples Military Cemetery near Boulogne
