Son of the Reverend George Johnstone Chree and Helen Robertson Hay Chree, of Bridge View, Cults, Aberdeenshire. Baptised 9 Nov 1893 in Allahabad, Bengal, India. Commissioned into the Royal Scots 1913. Served in France during WW1. Awarded the Military Cross (MC). Died aged 22 years. Buried in grave I.B.9. of Bray Military Cemetery, Bray-sur-Somme, Departement de la Somme, Picardie, France.
