Killed in action at the Battle of Arras aged 26 years. Buried in grave II. A. 17. of Heninel-Croisilles Road Cemetery, Heninel, Departement du Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France. He is also commemorated on the War Memorial in Salcombe, Devon.
