About the memorial: Memorial to Lieutenant Ewen Holmes Humphrey James Wilson, the Black Watch. Son of James Humphrey Wilson and Katharine Campbell Wilson. Commissioned into the Black Watch from the Royal Military College on 14 Feb 1912. Killed in action on the Marne aged 22 years. Buried at Sablonnieres New Communal Cemetery, Seine-et-Marne, France.
