About the memorial: Gravespace delineated by three square kerb sections and headstone, plain square post to both bottom corners and space vegetation covered. Horizontal rectangular stone has square top and checks dropping to straight sides, slightly recessed vertical rectangular decorative panel to each side shows Latin cross fronting vertical rectangle. Dedication to centre in black lead lettering, some now missing. Arthur Croft. Private 4809687. 6th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died 22nd April 1943, aged 25 Years. Son of William and Elizabeth Croft (nee Crow) of Wrawby, Lincs. Buried MASSICAULT WAR CEMETERY. VI.F.17.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
