About the memorial: Description:- Light brown leather covered book 33cm high by 28cm in width, all sides with the exception of the spine are stitched. There is no lettering to the front or rear. Inside are sheets of heavy paper folded vertically, with blue cord securing each section of 4 pages (2 sheets). Each page has the first letter of each name illuminated in various colours, the remainder of the name is in black lettering. Initials are illuminated in various colours, and the first letter of each rank and arm of service is illuminated in various colours with the remainder of the lettering in black. The roll is held in a locked case which is made of wood, the base of which is 54cm wide, 31cm deep and 70cm high. Above the base is a box of wood which is 63cm wide, 41cm deep and 14cm high and the box has an internal depth of 8cm. The lockable top is composed of a slim frame of wood surrounding a sheet of plain glass.
