About the memorial: 300 x 430 x 20mm Proposed by our petitioners William Jabez East, Horse dealer, and Elizabeth Ann East his wife to provide and place a memorial tablet on the south wall of the parish church of Brothertoft above the last pew and between the westernmost window and south door in memory of Gerard East who was killed in action in France 13th October 1915. That the said tablet is to be of Brass on Oak mounting about sixteen and a half inch by about eleven and a half inch Faculty Book 13, page 256, dated 5th April 1919.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
