About the memorial: Horizontal rectangular stone with checked top and leaf decoration to each side toward top. Raised centre field contains inscription in faded black lead lettering. Square kerbs around remaining 3 sides enclose grave space and there are square posts to each bottom corner. Square vase within space Notes on Condition: Inscription severely weathered.

Treasured Memories of A Dear Husband & Father Alfred Ernest Baker Died Feb. 10th 1957 Aged 76 Years At Rest Also Fanny Dear Wife And Mother Died Augt. 30th 1962 Aged 81 Years Re-United Also Stanley Youngest Beloved Son Of The Above Died Of Wounds Middle East June 4th 1942 Aged 30 Years. Note: Previous MI recording this cemetery indicates following persons also commemorated on kerbs, but exact wording, line spacing and location unknown. Margaret Matilda Baker 1908 – 1972. Rowland Baker, eldest son & husband of ‘Till’ died 12.6.1970.

Gunner 1088432 Stanley Baker. 11 (Honourable Artillery Coy) Regt, Royal Horse Artillery. Died 4.6.1942 aged 30 years. Son of Alfred Ernest and Fanny Baker of Grimsby, Lincs. Husband of Dorothy Baker of Harrogate, Yorks. Commemorated Heliopolis War Cemetery.
