About the memorial: (From the booklet inside the Church) 'Cross. c1900. Ashlar. Three steps in square plan to square base rising to octagonal top with quatrefoil panels to sides, octagonal cross shaft capped by Latin cross. 'The shaft and cross which capped this monument were unfortunately blown down in a gale and had to be removed, leaving only the stump as shown'.
