About the memorial: Black marble stone with half round top and peon topped side panels. Carved inscriptions. Deep chamfered kerbstones around 3 sides with peon topped posts at 2 bottom corners only. Inscription to soldier on headstone proper and to parents on kerbs to either side. Chamfered vase within grave space.
