Description: Addition to Gravestone
About the memorial: Small free standing undecorated shield shaped stone with black lettering and heavily weathered base stands against kerb of grave space. Grave space consists of small horizontal rectangular desk with pilaster headstone and chamfered kerb stones with mitre top posts to bottom 2 corners around space. Flower and leaf decoration to each side of headstone. All lettering in black lead and some missing on both stones. Headstone dedicated to parents of soldier, shield shaped stone dedicated to soldier.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
