About the memorial: Vertical rectangular stone with peon top and checks above splayed shoulders. Small decorative protrusion to sides at top and bottom and stands on chamfered base stone. Clasped hands motif at top centre of stone with ivy leaf decoration beneath. Black lead lettering. Stone heavily weathered and at some time has been diagonally broken near base, stone has been repaired although some lettering now missing as result of break and repair.
