About the memorial: Brass plaque on an oak backboard honouring the 31 children of the school lost in the war. The memorial is no longer in the Andrew Hall in Church Street. In June 2021 the vicar of St Michael's Church stated "I have been here in Helston since October 1993 and do not remember the memorial plaque in the hall. The Andrew Hall was used as a school from 1828 until about 1963, when the school moved to premises the other side of town. After that, the building was used as a warehouse to store furniture until bought by the church and renovated during the time of my predecessor. When precisely the memorial went missing but very likely it was before 1994." Enquiries were made at the Museum of Cornish Life, Helston in May 2021 but they could find no trace of the memorial. Also at St Michael's C of E Primary School in Penberthy Road in September 2021.
