About the memorial: Memorial to Captain (Major on CWGC Website) De Lacy Woolrich Passy, 25th Punjabis. Son of Mrs A M Passy and the late Captain De Lacy Darrel Passy (4th Madras Pioneers). Husband of Nora Passy (nee Vane-Stow) of 69 Philbeach Gardens, Earl's Court, London. Educated at Bedford School. Gentleman Cadet at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Commissioned into the Indian Army on 25 Jan 1889. Served with the 15th Punjab Regiment. Took part in the Somaliland War 1903 - 1904. Served in France & Belgium 1914-1915. Deployed to Gallipoli in Jul 1915. Wounded in action during the landing at Suvla Bay on 10 Aug 1915 while attached to the 8th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. Died at sea 2 days later from his wounds aged 37 years. Buried in grave K.17. at the Lancashire Landing Cemetery, Gallipoli, Çanakkale, Turkey. Also commemorated on a memorial at Bedford School and on a WWI memorial tablet in St Michael & All Angels Church, Cornwood, South Hams, Devon.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
