About the memorial: Memorial to 2nd Lieutenant Walter Arthur Francis Bailey, 2nd Battalion the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. Son of Walter Bailey, M.A. Educated at Shrewsbury School. Gentleman Cadet at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Commissioned into the East Lancashire Regiment on 27 Oct 1916. Killed in action aged 19 years. Commemorated on Bay 6 and 7 of the Arras Memorial, Pas de Calais, France. Also commemorated on a memorial plaque at Shrewsbury School, on Bournemouth's War Memorial, in a book of Remembrance in St Stephens Church, Bournemouth, Dorset and on a memorial seat in the Ox & Bucks Regimental Chapel, Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
