About the memorial: Memorial to Lieutenant Dering John Jasper Radcliffe, 5th Battalion Grenadier Guards. Son of Major Jasper Fitzgerald Radcliffe, D.S.O., and Emily Maud Radcliffe (nee Orpen) of 69, Park Mansions, Knightsbridge, London. Educated at Font Hill School, East Grinstead and Wellington College, Berkshire. Gentleman Cadet at the Royal Militery College, Sandhurst when WW1 started. Commissioned into the Devonshire Regiment 15 Aug 1914. Transferred to the Grenadier Guards. Was in Battle of Neuve Chapelle 10-13 Mar 1915. Severely wounded in head, losing one eye March, 1915. Accidentally killed on a course of instruction in France aged 22 years. Buried in grave 12 of Gosnay Communal Cemetery, Gosnay, Departement du Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France. He is also commemorated on the Roll of Honour at Wellington College and on a Book of Honour at St Paul's Church, Wilton Place, Westminster, London.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
